The Better Life Ostomy Belt Is The Perfect Ostomy Support Solution To Conceal And Protect Your Ileostomy Or Colostomy Pouch.
Determining size to order: The Better Life Ostomy Belt is very stretchy and needs to be ordered in a size which is smaller than a measurement that you will take around your abdomen at the level of your stoma. You will want a belt to fit snugly so that it will support your pouch yet not be so tight as to be uncomfortable.
You will notice that the sizes shown are listed as XXS to XXL but please go by the actual size in inches or cm which are also shown when ordering. In other words, if you just guess that you would wear an XL size you may very well find after taking a measurement that in fact it is our large size belt that will fit you the best. We suggest you take a measurement around your body at the level of your stoma. You may do this while dressed in light clothing and with your pouch applied. A cloth tape measure is easiest to use but you can also use a string to take this measurement and then measure the string. Pull the measuring tape snug and note this measurement. Since the belt needs to stretch to be supportive you need to choose a size belt which is around 2 to 4 inches smaller than the measurement you get. If you can't decide which of two sizes would be best I would suggest going with the smaller of the two. The material has so much 4 way stretch that it is quite forgiving as to which size to choose. When you receive your belt please try it on over your underclothing and see that it fits well. If you need to exchange it just send it back for an exchange at our expense. We'll send another out to you immediately.
